The following activities are prohibited (As per section 9.5(2) of the 2016) unless the prior written approval of the Administrator is obtained: Operating any photographic or video device for commercial purposes and flying of drones or similar. Any person who carries out these activities is committing an offence and will be penalised.
As of February 14th, construction has commenced on a new Full Monumental Burial area between Chapel Avenue and the florist at Eastern Suburbs Memorial Park. Fencing will be in place during the construction period, with as little disruption as possible to surrounding areas.
Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2013 (NSW) - Section 61
Metropolitan Memorial Parks is seeking to locate and contact the interment right holder of interment site Section 7, Zone C, Allotment 2486 at Rookwood General Cemetery, which contain the following interments; Henry Hollister, Emma Hollister, Hermia Down (ashes), Doris Hollister (ashes), George Down (ashes) and Barbara Down (ashes). The interment right is most recently held by the late Emma Hollister. Notice is hereby given, if an interment right holder is unable to be located and contacted, Metropolitan Memorial Parks intends to make a decision as to the interment right holder under section 61(4) of the Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2013 (NSW) [the Act].
