A memorial gives you and future generations a special place to visit and honour someone whose life mattered most to you.
There are many ways to create a memorial that you will cherish into the future. Some people create a memorial around the same time as a funeral while others choose to wait for some time to pass before they know what they would like inscribed on the memorial plaque. There is no rush to complete a memorial, so it’s good to take as much or as little time as you feel comfortable. If you are a little stuck, our Customer Care team are more than happy to help out in any way that they can.
We encourage you to visit our memorial parks to see which area you find the most appealing. We have a number of beautiful rose gardens, native gardens as well as quiet spots next to our delightful ponds. Keep in mind that this might become a spot for additional family members so it’s good to ask other family members to join you (if appropriate).
Once you’ve found the area you like, spend a little bit of time there to see what position you prefer. If you would like to have a memorialisation placed next to an existing loved one or a family member, contact customer support and we will advise you of the next steps.
Once you have selected a position in the park it’s time to create a plaque. We can help you with advice on what to write for the inscription and help organise the engraving. When the plaque is ready you have the option to be present while it is being placed or you can leave it with us and we will advise you once it is complete. Please note there is an additional cost associated with being present for the placement of a plaque.
