In an unmarked grave at Woronora rests a heroine of WWI, registered nurse Alice Cashin, the first Australian to be awarded a Royal Red Cross plus the bar to that medal for her incredible bravery during the first World War.
A special place of remembrance for cyclists and their families. It is a public reminder that we need to do more to protect our most vulnerable road users – whether riders, walkers, joggers or mums with prams.
The Woronora Military Memorial is unique as it is the first memorial to recognise families (through Legacy) as well as service personnel in Australia.
This special Police Memorial was created to honour local officers killed whilst on duty within the Sutherland and St George region.
The Wonderfully Made Memorial is a place for families to pay tribute to those who have made the donation of their bodies to science.
